Meet Jesse, Bessie, Flighty, and Tweety. We have been waiting for our newest pets for quite some time and they are finally here. We picked them up this morning at the local Hay and Feed store. We are very excited about the prospect of having fresh eggs right outside. Poor Erik gets the job of building the coop. Hopefully I can remain responsible enough to keep these cute little things alive.

Good luck. Your Grandma and Grandpa had great success with both chickens and rabbits. I remember going to get both fresh chicken and duck eggs. Chicken eggs were the easiest; they were in a coop. The lady duck (a pet) laid her eggs anywhere in two large backyards (your grandparents' and great grandma's).
We also had bantam hens for pets when we were little.
